It's lonely at the top But it's cold too And that's the only part they don't show you It's lonely at the top But it's cold too That the part they won't show you One of the earliest forms of story Coming out of Africa Tales Of Glory A Fable is a tale about animals But in reality, they're just humans in a sample It instructs us It teaches us something bout our behavior That we might not see in ourselves but more so in our neighbor But most folks don't like to be told About they damn self so a story unfolds Then an emcee like me has to come and referee A twist the story and act like I'm talking about other emcees But in reality, I'm more so talking to the listener But I ain't dissing ya Nah, don't get it twisted sir. When we came to these shores years ago. We brought along a flow that we barely did know. Made up some new ones when there were more peculiar behaviors On part of the ones who enslaved us Coming in with the drumming in out the speakers We would tell stories about crafty foxes and sneakers Worn on our feet and getting chased by the cops Man we only talking about situations that never stop Slavery of the mind We trying to find survival codes Get a grip, sharpen your wits and tell the younger folks Each and every instruction comes with coded language Messages hidden inside of what we're saying Man seen toad and donkey having a race in the street I hope that brare rabbit finally gets some sleep The first Spider-Man was black tho For real the first Spider-Man was black Little Black Mary Sweet as a berry How does your garden grow With collard greens and beans and all the little things That make beautiful black children grow You know

Word to my long-lost kid I try to stay positive, but the states have records on the sh!t I did It wasn't big Just putting little bags of white in executives' briefcases late at night My friends ain't much better but we stay tight Catching cases, losing patience About to take it to your head Run the jewels, if you move your f***** shoes, your dead Not an inch, I'm convinced that in a pinch I'll shoot More than my mouth or my cavity tooth Under pressure Trying to push a Tesla Walking in the concierge be like "Yes Sir." Bedroom oak wood dressers Blacker than Aunt Ester Whatever rapper you like, I'm better my lyrics are fresher My CDs are like dope testers Addictive lyrical gestures Pointing out those who write lesser The rapper that you love's a bitch and I don't stress her Or that tight-breasted sweater Better wrap it up like a dub of some shit No sticks, no seed or stems in that shit I'm OG like kush Operation Push Watch for the cops, put that shit up in the bush Yeah I'm something like a bizarre wizard Eating gizzards and biscuits Break guitars into splinters beat the stage on some Jimi Hendrix shit I keep a ganja clip smoking out the window I don't get a lot about this world But I get dough Outside the house in the summertime Game Time Maple leaves, palm trees, bad breezies, gang signs Eight o'clock I'm refueling and re-upping my inventory My shooters got them But yo that's a whole other story Its only right that if you bear your chest You get burned Los Angeles be on that shoot out shit, they some true Westerns Keeping food on the table Keep the lights on, son Saying grace before you eat That's butter on them guns Rounded out the prayers, then hit the streets To see what's good But it's a short trip, cause aint nothing moving Like it should

Understanding what I'm saying is like finding a gold vein Deep in the soil and dirt, under the stains Sharpest wit with the darkest verbs Targets hit with no delay, as I mark these words Silence broken, I smoking flowers not vape pens Cops breaking in, looking for new sign-ups for the pens Lots of brothers are used to cell space to live in To much wasted time spending, come out and start sinning Get the cash fast, why you mad at the ending? As long as the DJ keeps spinning, you winning! When I start dropping facts of life on the mic I keep it popping from South Beach in Washington Heights Never stopping at lights Got her jaw locked tight Higher than a blue-chip stock price You might Want to invest In the best You might Want to invest In the best You might Want to invest In the best You might Want to invest In the best You might Want to invest In the best Here's to the good life To all the good kids saying their prayers at night Here's to the good grades, to dad getting a good raise Got a good job to help pay for that new place Here's to the good times Rainbows over head, that a good sign Here's to the hustlers hard on the grind, but might find A goldmine deep inside their minds Here's to the good life To the good dudes trying to find a good wife Here's to good food, bought at a good price With some good friends, enjoying a good night Here's to the good days The good seats at the games, watching your team get good plays The good life! Cheers! You might Want to invest In the best You might Want to invest In the best You might Want to invest In the best You might Want to invest In the best You might Want to invest In the best

about

Q.Rock639 continues to release his past work, as this ep is another quick rundown of the sounds from Q.
"Lost Files Of Q" series looks to be an interesting step into the work-in-progress vaults. Q has much more singles that are stored and getting final makeovers, but this latest installment is chunky enough.

Combining art and music while attempting to create a unique combination of the two, this project is an attempt at musical post-modernism. The cover art was created using AI rendering and was done in the style of renowned English artist and sculptor Dame Barbara Hepworth.

Stepping back into the vocal booth, this project is a quick run down of some of Q's self-produced songs. One-man band is the theme here. These songs represent a 7-year span of creativity.

More music from Q is on the way, with collaboration projects, another instrumental release, and more genre-bending albums on the list.
