Tales Of Glory
A Fable is a tale about animals
But in reality, they're just humans in a sample
It instructs us
It teaches us something bout our behavior
That we might not see in ourselves but more so in our neighbor
But most folks don't like to be told
About they damn self so a story unfolds
Then an emcee like me has to come and referee
A twist the story and act like I'm talking about other emcees
But in reality, I'm more so talking to the listener
But I ain't dissing ya
Nah, don't get it twisted sir.
When we came to these shores years ago.
We brought along a flow that we barely did know.
Made up some new ones when there were more peculiar behaviors
On part of the ones who enslaved us
Coming in with the drumming in out the speakers
We would tell stories about crafty foxes and sneakers
Worn on our feet and getting chased by the cops
Man we only talking about situations that never stop
Slavery of the mind
We trying to find survival codes
Get a grip, sharpen your wits and tell the younger folks
Each and every instruction comes with coded language
Messages hidden inside of what we're saying

Man seen toad and donkey having a race in the street
I hope that brare rabbit finally gets some sleep
The first Spider-Man was black tho
For real the first Spider-Man was black

Sweet as a berry

With collard greens and beans and all the little things

Hood stories, metaphors, remixed fables, and hood prose. All in one for this one, but normally this is a project theme that I use.
